When do I pay on Step Swap?

Only when you and a SoleMate agree to swap and need shipping labels. Payment is a hold captured after both pay.

How much does a swap cost?

It depends on the route. See the fee table on the live delivery fees page; your in-app total is shown in chat before payment.

What is included in the delivery fee?

Carrier shipping for your inbound parcel plus a flat Step Swap shop fee per parcel.

Is there a weight limit for my parcel?

Each label covers a parcel up to about 1 kg. A single shoe in a box is normally well within this, so standard shoes ship fine — only very heavy boots may go over.

Is sign-in free?

Yes. Creating a profile, viewing matches, and messaging are free.

Who is the seller when I pay?

Your contract for the label fee is with Step Swap. The shoe swap itself is between you and your SoleMate.

Can I cancel if the swap expires?

If the swap expires before both pay, the authorization hold is released and you are not charged.
